A: Call customer service for whatever operator the phone is locked to and get the unlocking codes, or look up one of the many services that sells unlock codes. Do not ask about unlocking in the channel.

Q: Which IRC client should I use on my BlackBerry

A: The issue with IRC is that a “long-running TCP connection” is not something mobile network devices are actually good at. A good option, however, is using irssi installed on a SSH compatible server that you can contact to using BBSSH. If you want to use a real IRC client on the device, get the J2ME app known as jmIrc.  For the BlackBerry you should use the beta version (http://jmirc.sf.net/beta/jmIrc.jad), go to the “Advanced Config” screen, scroll to the bottom, and select a BlackBerry connection mode.
